The Kirkland Downtown Association (KDA) is a non-profit organization representing the common interests of Kirkland's Business Community.  KDA Membership includes business owners, property owners, and members of teh community who are dedicated to the vibracy of Downtown Kirkland.  They support each other, provide funds and volunteer hours to promote community events which encourage people to visit, shop, live, work, and play in downtown Kirkland's unique waterfront setting.  The KDA actively supports the City of Kirkland and the Kirkland Chamber of Commerce efforts in business recruitment, growth, and development.

The KDA is based on the 4 pillars of the nationally recognized Main Street program - which includes Promotion, Beautification, Organization and Preservation.  A few of the projects the KDA is responsible for include:
- The Downtown Kirkland Flowerpots & Hanging Baskets
- The Kirkland Wednesday Market

- Downtown Kirkland Holiday Tree Lighting & Decorating

- The Kirkland Classic Car Show

- 2nd Thursdays on Park Lane (aka Live Jazz Night)

- Clean Sweep (volunteer driven downtown cleanup event)

- Nights of Shopping Campaign.
